Chroniq

Privacy Policy

Effective date: 7 May 2026

Overview

Chroniq is a timer app for creating, running, recording, exporting, and sharing timers. This policy explains what data Chroniq uses and how it is handled.

Data Stored On Your Device

Chroniq stores your timers, sections, reminder choices, settings, ad-free entitlement state, and any saved local recordings on your device. Chroniq does not provide user accounts and does not run a Chroniq server that uploads your timers or recordings.

Ads

The free version of Chroniq can show Google AdMob banner ads. Google and its advertising partners may collect or share data such as IP address, device or advertising identifiers, app interactions, and diagnostic information for advertising, analytics, fraud prevention, security, and compliance. Chroniq requests non-personalized ads from the Google Mobile Ads SDK.

Purchases

Chroniq may offer an optional yearly ad-free purchase. Purchases are processed by Google Play, not by Chroniq directly. Chroniq receives purchase status information needed to unlock the ad-free feature and stores the resulting entitlement state locally on your device.

Camera, Microphone, And Local Recordings

Camera and microphone access is optional. Chroniq only asks for these permissions when you enable local timer recording and choose to record during a timer. Recordings are saved locally on your device. After recording, you can save or discard the recording. Discarded pending recordings are deleted from the app's local storage.

Export And Share

If you export or share timers or recordings, Chroniq hands that content to the destination you choose, such as another app, file location, cloud provider, or contact. Those destinations handle the exported content under their own terms and privacy policies.

Retention And Deletion

Timers, settings, entitlement state, and saved recordings remain on your device until you edit them, delete them, clear app data, or uninstall Chroniq. You can delete timers inside the app. You can remove saved recordings by deleting them from the device storage location where they were saved or by clearing app data. Uninstalling Chroniq removes app-local data according to Android's normal app storage behavior.

Children

Chroniq is not directed to children. If you choose to make Chroniq available to younger audiences in Google Play, you must ensure that the ads, data safety, target audience, and family-policy declarations match that choice.
